Yep you read that right – Rural Business Awards Runner Up!

What an honour!

After being short listen for the Best Rural Start Up Category earlier in the year.  We went to the Rural Business Award Finals on Friday 4th October at Nottingham University. We were over the moon to be announced as the Runner Up to the Best Rural Start Up – Midlands Category!

Of course, it never to goes completely smoothly when us girls need to find our way to a new location.  We drove around the entire Nottingham University Campus twice… our attention span when we stop and ask for directions needs some serious work!  Teamed with the fact that we don’t really know our left and right it was quite amusing, until we realised we were running really late.

Once we’d parked up we realised it was still a fair walk to the conference room.  This time we stopped and asked a lovely security lady for directions who told us to jump in and gave us a quick lift there…winning!

The start up category was read out first, we were up against some fabulous competition again!  We went up to the stage to collect our award, no mean feat for the pair of us to walk up on to the stage in heels but we managed it.  Followed by the winner of our category, the wonderful Claire Haggas Fine Art and Designs, if you haven’t checked out her work, then you absolutely should https://www.clarehaggas.com/

Cake to celebrate…

After the awards ceremony was finished we had chance to meet lots of other fabulous rural business and have a glass of prosecco and a cake to celebrate, you know how much we love our cake!  Next time you’re in the salon take a look at our lovely runners up award.
