An introduction to the Dog House…

Welcome to our totally pawsome dog blog, the place to be to our latest pupdates, news and
information.

Cheesy canine puns asides….Welcome to the The Dog House, Leicestershire’s Luxury Dog Grooming
Salon. We’re nestled in the beautiful surroundings of BARKby Thorpe (not another pun, that’s
actually where we are!) our bespoke salon can cater for all of your dog grooming needs.
But first let us introduce our team. By team, I mean the dogs as there’s really not that much
interesting about Selina and Anna!

If you follow us on social media you may have already seen snippets of them…..

Moogie – is Selina’s Puggle… Pug x Beagle! Moogie is super handsome, with the biggest kindest eyes
and most expressive face. He has quite a character and likes to let everyone know that he’s the
boss…it will be Moogie you hear first when you enter the salon, he’s such a softie though.

Bandit – is also Selina’s, he’s a Boston Terrier……pleasssse don’t confuse him with a French Bulldog,
he gets really rather offended. He is black and white in colour with his face having a black mask on
it, hence bandit. He’s a playful little man who likes to bounce and around and play all day long.
Bandit likes the warmer weather so if you pop in to the salon in the winter, the chances are he’ll
have his coat on!

Paddy – is Anna’s dog, he is a patterdale terrier, kind of! He’s mainly patterdale with something
else, however, he was a rescue so who knows what that something else is! We have no idea how
old he is, but at a guess, about 8ish. He doesn’t like to waste too much energy so he’ll have a mad 5
minutes and then sleep for the next hour, Paddy has to be hand stripped because of his wiry coat,
between strips he can look a little scruffy, that’s my disclaimer should anyone see him looking a
mess in the salon!

Cody– is also Anna’s dog. He’s a German Shepherd, heartbreakingly handsome but as daft as a
brush. You’ll see Cody in the salon less than the other dogs a) because he’s so big and clumsy he
often knocks things over with his tail b) because he won’t leave Anna’s side and it’s hard to groom
other dogs with him standing on your feet! Although he’s clumsy he’s a very clever boy when he
switches his brain on and he’s just started his career doing agility…watch out Crufts!!

And that is our team……so far! Who knows when we may take in a stray or fall in love with the next
pair of puppy eyes!
Selina and Anna

The Dog House was established in 2017 by Anna Pollard and Selina West.

After meeting via a training salon and a few tipsy nights out it seem that going into business together was inevitable!
